At Scouts, our programme runs on a 3 monthly basis, to make the most of the weather and District events. The Troop is constantly learning new and exciting skills, take part in competitions, various outdoor activities and some very important real Scouting skills. All these activities and challenges ultimately lead to the Chief Scout’s Gold Award, the highest award in the Scout section and very well deserved.
Putting the OUT
The Scout section is headed by Mr Skip, who holds many outdoor activity qualifications and permits, such as Mountain Leader (Summer) Form M authorisation for walking and climbing in winter as well as indoor and outdoor rock climbing / abseiling all year round.
As the Group has several leaders at 5th Preston with many permits, we can take part in many different activities such as canoeing and kayaking, climbing, hiking, camping.
